Why is there a Cap on Tickets?
Please Note, that as we are a new festival, we don't want to bite off more than we can chew, so numbers will be limited and there will be a cap on ticket sales. 
Because of this, and the strong interest we have had, tickets may sell out very soon after release.
We are also capping all of the stages of ticket release, so please get in early to avoid disappointment. 
People purchasing tickets to JOTL will have first option on re-purchasing for the following year, prior to public ticket release. 

 

Why Are The Tickets Sold In Stages?

Because we are a Start Up Festival, we are constantly consulting the community and patrons through our Facebook page on what kind of festival they want, and how long it should go for.
Therefore we have designed a system where each stage of ticket sales will reflect demand, and allow us to design the festival's content and length accordingly.

Once tickets sell out for a particular stage, we will announce the next stage.
Tickets in stage 1 will be sold on via Crowd Funding on a pledge basis, so we will need to sell (apportion to pledgers) a certain number of tickets before we can announce that the festival will go ahead, and ticket purchasers/pledgers will be charged at that point.

However, the first stage will be a smaller 'One Day, with the Bands on the Back of A Truck On A Farm' kinda festival. (That's how Meredith Music Festival Started!) ...with a very Limited number of tickets at a very discounted rate.
Because of this 'small scale' option, we are very confident, that the festival will go ahead, in one form or another.

The selling out of each stage will represent a trigger point for the announcement of the next stage and a slightly larger and longer festival, with of course, more artists.

All tickets sold in all stages will provide entry and camping to all days and nights of the festival. However, as each stage is released the value and the price of the tickets, as well as the size of the festival, will all increase. 
So, for example, the first stage, no matter how cheap, will provide entry and camping for the ticket holders to all stages and days of the festival, whether it is a 'One Day' festival, or a '3 Day and 3 Night' festival.

Because of this, a ticket Bought during the final stage of ticket sales, may be as much as 3 or 4 times as high as the first stage, but will give you the exact same access as a ticket bought for 1/4 the price in stage 1!

So if you buy a ticket during stage 1 which will be a 1 Day Festival, and because of ticket sales, the festival grows to a 3 Day and 3 Night Festival, then your ticket could be worth up to 4 times what you paid for it, or possibly even more! 

The Moral of the story... Buy/Pledge to buy your tickets as early as possible! 

The absolute go-ahead for the festival will happen when all tickets for stage 1 have been sold/pledged. Which means that JOTL festival going ahead, is entirely up to you! And there are some great enticements to see it does!

What if Stage 1 Doesn't Sell Out?

If stage 1 does not sell out, you will not be charged anything, and JOTL will not go ahead. It's that simple.
So if you really want to make it happen, Subscribe Now, and make sure you put yourself down for a ticket, or two, ...or four when stage 1 opens.
Remember, even if you pledge for tickets, but we don't sell out stage 1, you will not be charged, so get your family and friends together, and get pledging for your tickets and for the sake of a festival that we really need! 

 

But I Want It To Be A 3 Day And 3 Night Festival!

If you want a 3 Day and 3 night festival, you have two choices...
Buy a ticket to one of the earlier stages and wait until we announce that we have reached the trigger point for a 3 D/N festival.
Or wait until we have announced that JOTL has reached the trigger point in ticket sales and has become a 3 D/N festival and purchase your ticket then, but remember, it could also then be 4 times the price!

What If I Buy Tickets, But Something Unforeseen Happens And I Can't Attend?

JOTL will allow you to re-assign the tickets to another person, you just have to get in touch with us via email at least a month before the festival. 

We will also have a subpage on Facebook, allowing patrons to have a forum for ticket chat, and general chat about the event.
